At the border of the Dordogne and Charente departments, our air-conditioned chalet, located in a green park, offers panoramic views over the Dronne Valley. Ideal for a couple, this cosy chalet is perfect for unwinding and enjoying the peace and quiet. It is close to the mysterious Double forest, ideal for hiking and fishing. The chalet is also located along the route of the Romanesque domed churches of the Ribéracois region. To extend your relaxation at the Chalet, you can enjoy the spa. Just 500 m from the rental, a landscaped island is perfect for picnicking or lounging by the Dronne. This air-conditioned chalet includes a living/dining room open to the kitchen, one bedroom with a 140x190 bed, a bathroom with walk-in shower, and separate toilets. Bed linen and towels are included. Outside, you can enjoy the 6.5 m covered terrace with garden furniture and a view over the Dronne Valley. A baby cot is available on request. Beautiful listed sites nearby include Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, Brantôme, Bourdeilles and Périgueux, classified as a "town of art and history". The owners of the gîtes have an equipped island (to be shared with the other gîtes) located 500m from the house, where you can enjoy a picnic on the banks of the Dronne. On site, the ping pong table, table football, petanque pitch and other games, as well as the jacuzzi, will help to make your stay a pleasant one. Detached house in an old farmhouse. Our old stone house is set in a lush, peaceful environment, perfect for relaxation. Nearby, you’ll find the Dronne river, ideal for fishing, the Grand Etang de La Jemaye, the Romanesque churches of Ribéracois, the village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, Brantôme, Bourdeilles, and the Villars caves. We’re also close to Charente and its many castles, including Montmoreau and Magnac la Valette with the Château de la Mercerie, known as the "Little Versailles." Just 500 m from the gite, enjoy a picnic area by the Dronne, shared with other gites. For relaxation, a shared spa is also available. The single-storey, detached house is part of a former farm. The spacious living/dining room opens onto a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and espresso machine. The living area features a wood-burning stove. A hallway leads to two bedrooms: one with a 140x190 bed, the other with a 160x200 bed and a separate area with a 90x190 bed. Bed linen and towels are included. There’s a shower room with washing machine and a separate toilet. The garden has outdoor furniture and children’s play equipment (swing, slide). Electric heating, garage, fenced grounds.
